Who We Are
BASIS Phoenix Boosters is a group of parent volunteers. That's it, plain and simple. We are not part of the school administration, we are not funded by the government, and we are not backed by any outside organization. Every person on our board and every parent who shows up to help is a volunteer, just like you. Nobody on the Boosters gets paid. We do this because we care about this school and our kids.
What We Actually Do
We know some parents think fundraising is all we do. We want to clear that up, because it simply is not true. Fundraising is one part of what we do, but here is the full picture of what your Boosters community supports throughout the year:
- Teacher appreciation events and gifts, so our teachers feel valued and supported
- Student recognition programs that celebrate our kids and their hard work
- Campus projects that improve daily life at school
- Community events that bring BASIS Phoenix families together
- Volunteer opportunities that connect parents with each other
- Regular updates so families always know what is happening on campus
Our kids spend at least eight hours a day at school. We want that time to be comfortable, supported, and positive, both for the students and for the teachers who guide them. When teachers have what they need and know they are appreciated, it creates a better environment for everyone, and our children are the ones who feel that difference.
Do I Have to Join?
No. Membership is not required.
But we hope you will still consider it. Joining the Boosters means being part of the decisions and events that shape your child's day to day experience at school. It means getting to know other BASIS Phoenix parents who care about the same things you do. It means having a voice in this community. We started this group because we believe that when parents support the school and support each other, our kids are the ones who benefit most. Joining is not required, but it is genuinely in your best interest, and in your child's best interest, to be part of it.
