First week Hot Lunch Details

First week of 2022-2023 Hot Lunch Updates...
- Since we re-started the Hot Lunch program back in Jan 2022, Lunches can now be ordered for any weekday up to 6p the prior day!
- The booster membership gets you a discount of at least $.75 per main lunch entry; therefore, the sooner you purchase your Booster membership the more you are able to save during the entire school year (Aug-May). In addition, Boosters are looking forward to organizing various social activities that will generally be discounted for booster members. Activities in previous years include bowling outings, skyZone outings, school dances (and prom). More details on these activities will be made available soon.
- If you are purchasing a Booster membership, please do so separately from your lunch order as the system is not able to recognize the booster order simultaneously. As soon as that order is processed, the system registers that your account is now eligible for a Booster discount.
- The lunch period is not necessary. We had separated the orders per lunch period prior to the pandemic, but we now don’t rely on that since all lunch periods are back-to-back and the servers just ensure they are there long enough to ensure all lunch periods are covered. We will be reflecting that adjustment in the lunch order form shortly (but for now, it is ok to simply leave blank).
- One of the perks of doing business with our lunch vendor, Fresh Catering Solutions, is that they graciously allow us to sell lunches to our staff at a significant discount. This discount is also extended to all BASISed staff as well. (Same time-constraints apply in terms of ordering deadlines)
- In the event a student does not attend school on a day that lunch has been ordered, the general rule that we follow is to have that lunch delivered to the office, where the family can choose to pick up the order, or simply donate it to teaches/staff/other students. If we are able, and receive a request to cancel the order via email, we will do so but we simply cannot guarantee it as it has to be seen by us, forwarded to vendor and server(s), all usually within hours. Having said that, this issue has not been a significant issue in the past.
- Please share all this information with your students, so they understand how this all works (in the event that say, they were late to lunch and maybe server(s) leave and therefore, lunch was left at front office. Have them pleaase check with the office/lunch monitor so they don’t go hungry and the lunch does not go to waste
