Made a couple of changes that caused some issues....but they seem to now be resolved...

1.  This past Thursday, I made a couple of minor changes to accomodate a couple of changes from the Winter Formal committee, and ended up breaking up the links that I had in place.  Thank you to all who pointed it out since we were able to rectify it relatively quickly.  It appears all is well on both, the regular website, and the mobile app (I don't usually bring up the mobile app because, as of now, it does not support blogs, and we use blogs to document/track what is going on throughout the year.  Thus, I would encourage families to simply use their regular browsers either on a desktop/laptop, or a cellphone/tablet  (it is also optimized for cell phone access as well).

2.  With the upcoming 2019 Winter Formal & the Half-year Booster Membership ($30), we have added a few more families to Membership Toolkit (MT).  By the way, you don't have to purchase a Booster membership to open up an MT account.  It is secure, and requires a minimal degree of information.  There are a couple of things to be aware of when first creating or logging into MT (Over the Summer, we imported what the Boosters had in the previous platform, MySchoolAnywhere and about 99% of accounts were migrated correctly, but we did have had a couple of accounts that did not, and we had to re-create, so it would be nice to get rid of any 'bad'/corrupted accounts):

1)If you have not yet logged on to MT, please take a couple of minutes to see if your information was migrated correctly.

2)One of the nuances of ensuring that your account is active, is ensuring that your MT account has at least one active student (unless you are staff).  It is a MT requirement and it is required by MT to show you our content (such as where to buy gear, lunch, Winter Formal tickets, etc.)

      3) Last but not least, Our lunch team needs to know what lunch period your student(s) has/have this year to properly distribute your lunch, so if you have not yet chosen a lunch period, that lunch forms may not display for you properly.

3.  Winter Formal deadline for discounted tickets is this Sunday night (Dec 9th, midnight).  As with lunch, it is best not to waste to the last minute, as the forms have been automatically set up to turn on and off at certain times.  Afer the dealine, tickets will stil be available online, but they will be $40.  The Winter Formal Committee wanted to get a good idea of the number of students planning to attend, so they wanted to encourage early ticket purchasing.  If your student is in high school, we encourage your student to attend.  Attire is semi-formal.  We have a DJ, snacks, and it is at the Moon Valley Country Club (151 W Moon Valley Dr, Phx, AZ  85023).  A truly nice experience for all those in attendance!

4.   2019 Teacher&Staff Holiday Cookie Exchange

Just like the Pies for Teachers&Staff, this is a holiday tradition at BASIS Phoenix.  It is a great way to demonstrate your appreciation and involvement to our wonderful teachers & Staff.  We have a very passionate group of parents (and staff) that always go the extra mile to ensure this event is a huge success, but they can always use a lending hand.  It is a wonderful way for new families to get involved!

Please consider signing up for one of the volunteering slots!
