As the summer days draw to a close and the back-to-school buzz fills the air, we extend our warmest greetings to all returning and new student families, teachers and administrators! First week of 2022-2023 Hot Lunch Updates...
- Since we re-started the Hot Lunch program back in Jan 2022, Lunches can now be ordered for any weekday up to 6p the prior day!
- The booster membership gets you a discount of at least $.75 per main lunch entry; therefore, the sooner you purchase your Booster membership the more you are able to save during the entire school year (Aug-May). In addition, Boosters are looking forward to organizing various social activities that will generally be discounted for booster members. Activities in previous years include bowling outings, skyZone outings, school dances (and prom). More details on these activities will be made available soon.
- If you are purchasing a Booster membership, please do so separately from your lunch order as the system is not able to recognize the booster order simultaneously. As soon as that order is processed, the system registers that your account is now eligible for a Booster discount.
- The lunch period is not necessary. We had separated the orders per lunch period prior to the pandemic, but we now don’t rely on that since all lunch periods are back-to-back and the servers just ensure they are there long enough to ensure all lunch periods are covered. We will be reflecting that adjustment in the lunch order form shortly (but for now, it is ok to simply leave blank).
- One of the perks of doing business with our lunch vendor, Fresh Catering Solutions, is that they graciously allow us to sell lunches to our staff at a significant discount. This discount is also extended to all BASISed staff as well. (Same time-constraints apply in terms of ordering deadlines)

Just a quick reminder that you can now order your lunches up to 6p the day prior!
Also, we have fixed a couple of glitches with lunch ordering for staff, and also the vendor added a couple of lunch salad options as an alternative to the main entree lunches daily.

Hello all,
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who has been a part of the hot lunch program so far!
We are slowly working through the nuances of ordering daily and understand that it generates some frustration as to when ordering is available. Currently, we are making next=day ordering available as the word spreads that the hot lunch program is back at BP. Consequently, next day ordering is available from 12a-3p the day prior to the actual lunch being ordered. Why those hours? It makes the logistics of transmitting the information to the vendor easier on us (me). Thank you for your understanding!
For those who have asked me, he mobile app is working now, and can be downloaded from the app stores. Is it necessary? No, we had made the website mobile-compatible before the pandemic, so either one works! 😊
Last, but not least, starting next week, we are introducing a third optional entry, a heftier salad option that can be served with either chicken, or garbanzo beans. These new options are large enough to be bought as replacement of the other entries, or can also be used to complement the main order. Give our new salads a try!

Lunch is up and running!
However, as any new program, there will be hiccups to be addressed, so we ask for you patience and cooperation as we roll it out!
As we ramp it up, we are going to try daily ordering with a cutoff of 1pm for the following day (except for weekends, which will be Sunday 6pm).
The process is as follows:
- Renew/Register your membershiptoolkit account at http://basisphoenixboosters.org
- Next, you can either click on the first Booster Icon on the page, or
- When registering/updating your account, you may ignore the request to enter your students’ lunch period as that is irrelevant at this time. The system should prepopulate as ‘Unknown’,
- When you are done with your student(s)’ info, MembershipToolkit (MT) will ask you to what degree you want to share your info in the Booster Directory (entirely optional)
- After finalizing the above steps, you can go back and order lunch (the system is not smart enough to realize that you are purchasing a lunch order and a membership order at the same time
- For the time being, it seems that the mobile app is not enabled (but the website DOES work on your mobile device via browser). We’ll have to troubleshoot and decide if the mobile app works with our setup.
- For regular updates, please go to our blog ‘BPhxHappenings’ (also in MT) regularly for the latest updates!!
- Last, but not least, we fired up the gear store as well and will be exploring launching some new items soon!
